Revelation

Yes. I'm back from the land of Lippo Cikarang...

where

things are super cheap yet nice.

blackout happens every night

mosquito loves me so much

motorbike is dangerous

time seems to pass slowly yet quickly

sleep is never enough

car keeps coming to fetch you to all places even when the place is 10minutes walk away

time spent with brothers and sisiers are awesome

plane flight is just about 1.5hours

My 1st mission trip and won't be the last. It has been an exciting journey for me from preparing for the trip till the end of the trip. What I can really say is that people are not bluffing you when they encourage you to go for a mission trip or tripssssssssssss. Its really really awesome and you can really learn alot of things.

Firstly, I really wanna thank Phoebe for the opportunity and the green light to go for the mission trip.. Even though I only got my passport like very last minute, I thank God for all the smooth going before flying off.. thank you for all the support and encouragement along the way too..

Also, the mission team for making the trip so awesome.. the company with great people coming from all walks of life.. the time spent in talking, sharing and doing things together is really really really fun!! Even though we had late night practices till 4, 5am, having to wake up only 2hours later, rushing to prepare for the start of each event and moving the instruments + percussion from place to place, everything was super fun!!

The trip made me think of my area of talents. As this trip is to promote the Emerge Camp at Lippo Cikarang (LC in short), we had to do performances in the various venue and during one of the church's special event. Well, we have Roy & Jeff who plays awesomely with their guitar, Elson who sings and practically can do many other things, Jamie and Sheryne on the fashion side, Siyun with her flute, Melina with all her gung-ho-ness to do things, Jacob being the one man percussion band, Ron for playing percussion well, etc... (I can't think properly still...) So i began thinking what can I really do over there.. Pastor Darren did asked me before what can I do best... and to tell the truth, I can't really answer that. I know I can connect well with people, especially those near my age. But, useful meh?? I mean when you are going for performances and stuff, its like.. erm... no link lah.. so I kinda question myelf when going there..

but turns out.. its very different from what I questioned myself with... Last minute challenges such as acting, emcee-ing and house visitation came to me.. I didn't really did with much confidence at first.. but thinking its for the people over there, you tend to do things very differently... The most challenging item I had to do was drama... even though many said I was very drama-mama (acording to Elson), it is VERY DIFFERENT when the drama is being used for bringing message across... you just got to feel the character and know how to react according to how the story goes... (HARD LA. I'M NOT FROM DRAMA MINISTRY ONE OK)... yes.. but it was all a very very wonderful experience.. thank Pastor for the chance and the others who "sabo-ed" me to be David -.-

well, I would really love to go for the Emerge Camp but NS kinda not allow me.. God, I pray that the NS people would suddenly have a revelation from You and make my enlistment later. HAHA! Maybe for Jacob also.. if not it will be hard for the percussion side to be established.

anyway, REST PERIOD!!! CAMERA DAY TOMORROW!!! WOOHOOO!!
