Day 4
Back again for more updates. This time round, there's quite a number of things happening. haha!
DAY 4Woke up to attend the IS lesson that talks about the History, Geographic and culture of Wuhan and China.

Truthfully, I first felt that it would be something that will be very boring and would bore me to death! but then I was wrong in a certain way. As I tried my best to keep myself awake for the first 72 slides, I manage to get hold of certain interesting information about China! well, shan't elaborate. A little lazy to do so. haha! but well, I was fast asleep when the next 140++ slides came out as I thought there was 72 slides only.. haha! i caught a little only la.. so yea.. haha! =P

and yea! evening time, went out with Jacob and Sheng kiat to do some more shopping as Ja want to get new shirt, me get shades and sheng kiat getting some necessities. We went back to the supermarket that was near the KFC. We took our own time to walk around and look at the surrounding area and we found lots of things! Like we now know where is the bakery, other possible good food stalls and many others. haha! it was quite a nice time hanging out with both of them and getting to know them more. Took some retards photos once again and yea, gonna post them up! haha!
REFLECTION OF DAY 4, THURSDAY, 28 AUGUST 2008:Time: 11:40pm
Today started with a light drizzle going on when we were on our way to Foreign Language School for lesson. It felt pretty good to walk in the light drizzle. Makes you somehow miss the rainy days back in Singapore. Had 2nd IS lecture today on the history of China and certain cultures which Hubei has and other parts of China.
It was really interesting to know certain historical fact that was presented in class today! Like Wuhan was formally known as a Province with a Thousand Rivers (I can’t believe Wuhan has SO MANY RIVERS!) and that it is a province where all strategists gathered (such as Zhuge Liang)! Well, the part I liked the most was the part on food. It makes me feel hungry and want to rush out of the classroom to eat! Haha! I now know that Wuhan has many good food and I guess I should find a few days to go try out these dishes with the guys from ICT. Hmmm…

Went to the supermarket further up the school today to get some daily necessity top-up. Was walking around and looking around some other shops that were along the way to the supermarket to check out what is available for us to purchase in future. I realized it was pretty hard for me to understand their Mandarin as I’m not good at Mandarin at all. Been trying my best to communicate with them such as asking certain questions on products and so on. Luckily Jacob and Sheng Kiat was around to help, else I think I would be flooded by all the question marks I have in my head. Haha! Thankful to all the guys in ICT that helped me in translating all the sentences to English for me whenever I asked them. But now, I think I have to try to speak in Mandarin more often so I can expand my vocabulary in Chinese! Well, make more effort tomorrow then!
