Frist week anniversary!
Woohoo! Time flies man! one week i have flew past just like that and I'm 5 weeks away from going back HOME! haha! not that I don't like China, but I MISS HOME! hahaha! my pillow, bolsters and TV (cause the one in my apartment is a channel-less TV -.-)!!!
Anyway, today's post would be a pretty short one as I don't have that much picture taken compared to yesterday. haha! i know i know.. yesterday's post was a killer. So I shall spare every single one of you readers today. hahaha! =P
DAY 7we woke up around the same time and had to meet at 820am to board the tour bus to the "city" area. The journey of the day was to visit a park and the shopping district near the park area. It was a pretty relaxing and rather free day as we had almost from 10am - 3:30pm to ourselves before heading back to school.
While we were on the bus heading to 汉口江滩 park, I notice many were sleeping. haha! managed to take snapshots of them while they were fast asleep. hahaha! super hilarious and that they didn't listen to the guide's introduction.
Presenting...

Xiao Jing teng (He called himself).. my sitting partner for today on the bus! haha!

and.. the ever sleeping champion, Neu Zheng Wei! =)
haha! super funny. Anyway, we reached the park after around an hour's ride. here's some introduction to the park:

the map of the park. telling you where is where. It is 7KM LONG!!

Beware of steps! it kills! haha!

Jacob doing his all time favourite. MAKING DUMB FACES! =P

Zheng wei relaxing and chilling. eating his new found friend, ICE-CREAM.
well, the park was splendid and nice. it's like 1000000000000000000 times better than WEST or EAST COAST PARK. haha! i mean the scenery. cause the water also a little CMI. haha! =P
well, we walked quite a far bit and found quite alot of interesting things!

a couple of folks playing Chinese Chess and quite a number of people watching.

OOPS! haha! I take for fun one! hahahah!

This dog is owned by someone. but it is EXTREMELY CUTE and OBEDIENT!

WoW! 6 players DAI DI! hahahaha! so interesting to look at them play.

Oh. we found many planks that linked from the land to a boat (which is not featured inside the photo). so we all went to take a picture that is off the land! =)
well, we met up with the guide once again at around 1130am so she could bring us to the shopping district area. Serious speaking, I didn't had much expectation for the shopping malls there as you know, CHINA MA! haha! so yeah. but there were many interesting places and there's even ARCADE YOU KNOW??!! some more their games are pretty advanced! even their dance machines are better than Singapore's! hahah!

we were walking halfway when we saw this building. Was telling Jacob that I can go attend service in China's version. haha! cause it was like one letter or two strokes (to be more exact) away from my church's actual name. haha!
and so...
we went into the first shopping centre called 万达商业广场 (Wanda Plaza). there were like LOTS and LOTS of food at the entrance area. then, lady clothings all the way -.- haha! so we just roamed around a little before heading to the next shopping centre.
And we saw this while going up the escalator in Wanda Plaza.

Before heading up, it says this...

This will be seen by those coming down from the escalator. Notice the error? haha!
anyways, we went to two more shopping centre and than ended up with nothing much. Got something for someone (shan't reveal who yet) and went off cause we were running rather late. hahaha!
then back to hostel, we went for dinner at the shopping centre near the KFC. we ate at this small restaurant where we ordered tang bao. FINALLY! haha! been waiting for the chance to eat one ever since I reached China! haha! only GOONS don't eat tang bao when in China.. =P
well, now I'm so going to sleep soon. Been sleeping rather late for the past week lo! haha!
REFLECTION OF DAY 7, SUNDAY, 31 AUGUST 2008:Time: 10:14pm
Today was just normal for me as I went to the 汉口江滩 park and the 沿江大道 area to shop. I felt relieved that I was able to do some shopping so I could get something back for the loved ones in Singapore.
It was somehow relaxing for me. However, I saw many incidents today which involves customers and sales person. The customers’ requests were not met and that the sales person also rebutted by saying what they gave was what the customer had requested for. So there was not a good solution to the situation as both parties do not want to give in. Both felt that they were right or have the right to rebut.
After encountering these incidents, I’ve learnt that communication is very important. Also, conflict management is important as well. Not only in China, but in Singapore as well. It takes both parties to be willing to give full concentration on doing a certain things for communication to be at its peak. Similarly for conflict management, it takes both parties to be willing to acknowledge their mistakes and give in for problems to be solved and create a win-win situation. Therefore, this concludes that it is these skills that I need to further improve on so that in future, I can make sure little conflicts will occur and even if there is one, I can manage it well.
