erm.. mani mani updates...
Hmm... today's paper was rather easy i guess... and yea... i had two
SHOCKS while doing the two papers today... yes! it's one shock per paper.... haha!
SHOCK #1:The maths paper was rather easy... easier than the June paper which Mr. Tan had asked us to do during lesson time as a practise... yea... can't imagine the moderation then... haha! pray hard that the moderation will not be too high so i can get A1 safely!! haha!
SHOCK #2:ALL the topics that I've studied to prepare for my SS DIDNT CAME OUT!! haha! in the end I went to do Merger which I was NEVER good at... Lolx... nearly fainted when I saw all the three choices... haha!
Erm... I think there's always a price to pay for something... yea.. as in from the above "example", u can see that when u get something to be easy, there will always be other things that are difficult... it's a form of price that you have to pay for getting something... let say when you want to get both a mp4 and maybe a laptop... when u get the laptop, u pay the price by sacrificing the opportunity to get that mp4... and of course vice versa...
in relation to this, i suddenly remembered what Pastor Eugene shared yesterday during the sermon was that there will be a price to pay for God to bless you with things... and that thing is Obedience... yea.. You would say how this applies to our daily life?? well, one simple way we can put it is our parents... most of the time we will always find our parents as very naggy and what we call, long-winded... but if we don't have the obedience to listen to their advice, would we benefit?? A form of blessings to us from our parents is not what they can offer you but what you could gain from the things that they advice you on... if we didn't heed any of our parent's advice, I'm quite sure that our lifes today will be in a BIG mess... and this BIG mess may even destory your whole life... yes, including your own BRIGHT FUTURE...
same way when we walk our journey with God... there will always be times whereby we just don't listen to God's advice and do things our way and walk our own way, moving further away from God... but Obedience towards Him will allow us to draw ourselves closer to Him so that when we pray for something, He will bless us with it... Well, God has sent His one and only son to die for us to take away our sins and that all we could do was a simple thing - that is to serve Him and know that He is our Lord and our Saviour... compared to other things in life whereby we need to give up the equal amount of things to gain something, we are actually gaining more than we give... it's this simple thing that will allow us to walk with Him and to be able to serve Him is something that will make us feel good.. seriously, will there be anyone in this world who would do the same thing to show his love to the man-kind?? I don't think so... the word "Love" allow us to be free from sins just because someone died for us... having to go through all the painful experiences and other things that were so cruel... many times I've read the book of Matthew, Mark and Luke... i was close to tears whenever I'm at the last two to three chapters where it said about how Jesus was being sent to be cruxified... all i could think was I must obey Him and serve Him because He has done something that nobody else could do... it's just SOOO GREAT to have Jesus as our Lord and Saviour...
Many times this qns flashed through my mind and I seriously have no answer to it till now...
"What is the true meaning of obeying God?? Does it only consists of doing the things he told us to do and also to know about Him?? Is there more to it then these things??"
Well, something to let you guys to think about even though some may not be Christians.. but just something to share that hopefully God will touch your heart!!
