... is the second day of the week. (refer to the title to complete this sentence)
haha! ok. crap.
DAY 30Usual timetable in place. Had PM lesson in the morning. Was supposedly to end at 12noon. But due to sudden changes, we were scheduled to go to the School of Information Engineering for a little visit. Get to know more about their how their classes are conducted and what facilities are inside the school. The school actually has pretty good facilities despite of its old external look. It is quite a nicely equipped school actually.

oops! I DIDNT BREAK IT! =P
haha! had some interesting time in the classrooms knowing about how the students are able to use the facilities to do their work. At the computer lab, the students are actually Microsoft Visual Studio which I learnt it in Sem 1.2 as well. just that I forgot quite alot of it already. haha! I think I will die when Sem 2.2 comes as I will have to use it again. Sigh.
Anyway, we went to the restaurant opposite 小田园 for lunch. had some pretty interesting dishes this time round. haha!

this is some paper steamboat veggie. it is actually quite nice despite its appearance similar to some bird shit. haha!

this looks like the normal steam egg right? if you look closely, there's some strips of small things on top of it. it is actually a type of WORM! WOOHOO! nice lei!

OH! I wanna talk about this LONG TIME AGO. you see this lady? her job is to direct customers to her car washing area so she can earn some money from washing people's car. but guess what? the way she direct her customer is to STAND IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD AND BLOCK THE CAR!! INTERESTING RIGHT? I think in Singapore, I would have knock her down. haha! =P kidding. but I will horn until her ears drop ah! haha!
went back for PM lessons after lunch. this time round, the presentation was quite terrible. Not that the presenter is not good, but the content that the whole group came up wasn't well done. haha! I guess this is the difficult for all of us. Cause many of us got confused by the contents especially on the Code of Conduct.
went back to apartment to take a little rest before heading out for dinner. had quite a nice time chatting with the guys and exchanging thoughts on certain topics which we were engaging with. I felt that we should have more of such sessions so that we can understand each others' thinking better.
After which, Jacob and I went to the Admin building area as there were some rehersal for tomorrow's orientation night. took lots of photos and videos. But I'm going to upload pictures only. hahha! =P

and of course some other random shots to test my night photo taking skills. haha!

haha! yeah. that's more or less about it for today. =) here are some random photos of the day. just post for entertainment. haha!

REFLECTION OF DAY 30, TUESDAY, 23rd SEPTEMBER 2008:Time: 8:00pm
Today’s PM lesson talks about the Code of Conduct for a professional. The thing that caught me wasn’t the fact about the code of conduct for being a professional in certain areas of specialization, but a person’s code of conduct at various places.
While Mr. Tan was going through this topic, it reminded me of how we should behave while in China. I mean the way we should carry ourselves is definitely different compared to when we are in Singapore. The way we speak and even the topic we talk about, it is very different. One example would be in Singapore, we can freely talk about things such as making our thoughts about Chairman Mao. But in China, we have to speak in a way that we respect him so that it does not offend the citizens.
The way we conduct ourselves is a kind of “art” as it is not easy to grasp it. I’ve learnt from the past four weeks in China, we need to be more careful about our topics especially when it concerns about the government in China. It may seem as a casual topic to us but not towards the citizens of China. Also, another thing I’ve learnt is that we need to be daring to voice out our thoughts about the correct things. For example would be being truthful about their education system is much better than trying to cover up our true feelings. In this way, the China citizens will treat you with respect as you are one who dare to voice out. However, there are times that we should not voice our true thoughts. It is a different art to master.
In conclusion, it is important to know the code of conduct required for different environment so as to make us in an advantageous position. This will allow us to have better experience and better relations with people around us.
