Finally! its already the 4th week in China! Time really flies pass and soon the 6th week will be here! The past three weeks have been an exciting experience for me and I've learnt quite alot of things from observing the surroundings.
DAY 22
well, today was purely finishing up the PM assignment on doing up a proposal and TOR. Jacob and I had to compile everything we had and to edit all the possible mistakes that we could have made. We took quite some time to complete the last cycle. We took around 4hours to do that! WOW! I think that's the longest period of time I've actually focus myself on doing a project/assignment! haha! POWER!
and oh! just a random fact from Mr. Tan. Today (Monday) is actually a public holiday for China. so yea. We would expect very little people on the streets. But we didn't head out today, so we couldn't like really tell whether it is true or not. haha!
well, there isn't much event for today but I shall elaborate more on yesterday's Mooncake Festival celebration which was held in WUST (WuHan University of Science & Technology Branch). Anyway, it was held at night as there were a huge crowd in front of the Admin Building and the female dorms area.

a random shot of the crowd.
and there was this segment of the celebration whereby they play some music and the student would dance together. some sort of what we call a mass dance. like the whole gang of campers and people would gather and dance around like nobody's business. and shouting "ENCORE! ENCORE!". it was pretty interesting. Here is a video about it:
Anyway, Jacob and I notice one thing about the school. We concluded that every time when the school have an event, they would on this very beautiful lighting for the Admin Building. The view is really magnificent I tell you. It is really beautiful and we finally got the chance to take pictures of it. (P.S another thought could be that whenever it is Sunday, they would on the light. So we are still trying to figure it out.) Anyway, here are some pictures we took:
These are some of the nicer shots I took. Cause the rest are taken to test how we should adjust our camera mode and other functions. So yea.
so since we adjusted our camera and roughly know where to use which mode, Jacob and I tried playing around with the camera to take a few other interesting shots.
Moon shots
My own shadow. haha!
Moon and house shot. this is the harder shot to make it nice.
well, it ended pretty soon at the central area as all the students were heading to the female dorms are for the Karaoke session. We head back to our apartment soon and rest after that.
REFLECTION OF DAY 22, MONDAY, 16th SEPTEMBER 2008:
Time: 12:49am
It has been the 4th week in China, Wuhan and I have seen a lot of road side stalls being setup. I wonder if that is a legal stall whereby they have obtained license for them to setup the stalls or that they just come and sell items to people. It is pretty interesting as food sold are considered unclean and yet they still setup a stall at the roadside. If it is legal, I think it would be rather dangerous for the government personnel as people who ate the food and feel uncomfortable may complain and cause trouble for them. If it is illegal, I don’t see any police catching them.
I think that is one thing in China that is common and seems like they have some unspoken rules where foreigners like us would not know. I think I should interact more with the locals to find out more about it. Other than those roadside stalls, I would like to know how the locals would setup a business (legal ones) and what are the conditions needed. Hopefully I would be able to know more of such details which would be more of an interest to be.
