Moo Moo..
First thing I like to clear is that this post has NOTHING, NIL about cows. The reason I put this title is because for the past few days, me and the guys have been this map in WarCraft called Moo Moo. Its about protecting this big thinggy called Moo Moo. that's all. the game is pretty interesting and quite funny as well. haha!
DAY 23Anyway, back to today. It is quite a normal day until night time where we had a mini belated mooncake festival celebration with some of the China students. Let me run you through the day progress.
Morning woke up and slacked around till 12plus. Decided to run through the assignment that I did with Jacob and some of the PM slides as there is a test at 2pm. Although it is said to be a walkthrough test, I thought getting myself familiar with the content is good. So off we go to the classroom at around 1:40pm as we remembered about the reading time (which is to allow you to read the paper before the exam starts. Usually 10minutes before the actual timing that is stated).
Did the paper for about an hour and ten minutes. Pretty easy paper I guess. except for some tricky ones which tests your reasoning. haha! but oh well, what's gone is gone. No point hogging over it and thinking if I will do badly or not.

haha! A proof that there WAS a test! haha! i took it before leaving the classroom after I handed up my paper. =P
anyway, went back to apartment to play Moo Moo. We played till 7pm and headed out to the Foreign Language School for the mini celebration. There were LOTS of mooncake I tell you. From what I heard, they bought
50 moon cakes in total! haha! I think everyone will get constipation after eating so many moon cakes. If not, they will have problems going to the toilet for the next few days =X so there were mixing around and talking + interacting. It was just another chance to know more people. Both from Singapore and China. haha! oh! and they celebrated Kok long's and Astro Boy's (Guan bin) birthday as well. I tell you. the cake is HHHHHUUUUUUGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEEE and super duper CREAMY. Guan bin and I made a comment that if we remove all the cream from the cake, we can make a mini castle. those lousy ones of course.

The spamming of moon cakes on the tables..

the cakes for the birthday boys. =)
and there's a SPECIAL guest in the party today. it is this CUTE and ADORABLE xxx. (I shall not say until the picture) I wish I could hug and kiss and hold it tightly forever till death. The only thing I desire for in my lifetime. The love of my life. I think I somehow fell in love. OH MY!

TADA! haha! and you all must be thinking I'm falling in love with some girl right?? haha! sorry to disappoint. Haven't found the right one. =P MUAHAHAHAHA!
alright. Cut with all the fooling around. so after all the eating and drinking and chatting, we went to the fourth floor to watch some magnificent view of the fireworks. FYI, fireworks are for sale in China and you can just SPAM buying it and play. so the student leaders bought four of it and WOOHOO! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! goes the fireworks. it was a nice view and you don't get to see it everyday in Singapore. Except National Day and some other special occasions.

This is taken using my handphone. not that nice I guess. haha!

I like the color of this fireworks and the explosive feel.

WOOHOO! DUAL BLAST! NICE.. =D

Another dual blast. I like the mixture of colors.

and this is my personal favourite. It somehow resembles a cross or a tree this is on blazing fire. super nice. =)
it ended at around 930pm where all the cleaning up is done and all went back to rest. haha! it was a nice little gathering I guess. THANKS THE STUDENT LEADERS FOR ORGANISING! YOU ALL ARE THE BEST!! =D
REFLECTION OF DAY 23, TUESDAY, 16th SEPTEMBER 2008:Time: 10:41pm
Today I was at the bubble tea shop that is situated inside the school with some of my ICT friends. While waiting for a drink that one of us ordered, we were chatting using English. While serving us, one of the shop keepers actually asked where we were from. I was curious on why they asked us and they told us that it was because we were speaking in English and that we spoke pretty well.
Although I responded saying that our English was so-so, the shop keeper insisted that our English was very good. To think upon that, it would be the same if we were to comment on their Chinese.
From this, I remembered that we each have different strength and are unique in a sense. Just like how one is good in understanding Chinese and the other, English. It sort of reminded me of the past three weeks which I have been living with the ICT guys. Truthfully, there were times where conflicts happened due to different characteristics and behaviours. Some cliqued together and others being outcast at times. But still, we seek understanding and learn to see things differently. It is just the same as the bubble tea shop incident. It reminds me that people are unique and different. We need to learn how to accept and adapt to it after being aware of it. Just like how I’ve learnt it from an outside organisation (called Trybe). It is important and it is what life is all about.
Learning from this, I would like to be able to look at people’s strengths more often rather than their weakness. After all, not everyone is perfect. Each of us has something that is bad and hard to overcome. Only through accepting and adapting, does it help makes life better!
Learning in progress: Accept and adapt to differences/look at people’s strength more often rather than their weaknesses
