DAY 25

Today is all about Project Management. Lessons are pretty cool and relaxing i say. All about presentations and using our reasoning skills. haha! I LIKE! =) we should have this for lessons since semester one man! I think I would have get better grades with that! haha! since I suck at theories. =(

So morning, Zheng wei and I did the presentation since Jacob did it for yesterday's lesson. This is to ensure everyone has a chance to do presentation and that we are marked for that. So yea. It was pretty smooth I guess. Just that I was grasping for air when Mr. Tan kept asking question. The thing is I was very hungry already and was starting to think about food. And there goes Mr. Tan trying to find loopholes in the presentation. Luckily I could reason it out with him and to prove the point my group was trying to bring across. PHEW! or I would have died a terrible death. haha! but thank God everything went well =)

and oops! got caught on camera! I was a teenie weenie bored. =X

haha! and yea. lesson ended at around 12noon. Had food at canteen 3 and went back to class for second round. This time round, the team worked better as we discussed more and shared our views before doing up the presentation. Thus, the progress was much faster than other teams!! YEAH MAN! group 2 ROCKS! hhahahaha! =D and this time round, we did oh-ya beh-ya SOM (or those prefer to call it hei bai pei/black & white) to decide who gets to present! (since all did once already) and.... and.... AND.... Mr. NEU ZHENG WEI got the honor to present ONCE AGAIN! haha! but serious speaking, I felt he did a much better job compared to the morning session! GREAT JOB DUDE! =)

anyway, went for dinner and headed back to apartment after that. Reached back at round 845pm. It was quite a nice time and the nights over here are just so cooling! why can't day time be like this??!! haha! ARGH!


oh! this was the fried rice which zheng wei and guoyuan ate. Seems pretty nice and harmless right? it is SUPER SPICY! haha! But I can tahan. not the other two who ordered it. haha! should eat it other time! hahaa!


REFLECTION OF DAY 25, THURSDAY, 18th SEPTEMBER 2008:

Today’s Project Management lessons are very interesting to me as we had to do presentations! The topics are on managing people in the team and about problem solving. The main thing which I caught the most is about communications within a team.

Overall, communication is very important among a team as it helps to clear doubts and also improve relation among the people within the team. A good leader needs to be able to communicate well in the team to keep the team together. A communication skill not only includes speaking well, but also being a good listener. It is only through listening that one is able to share deeper things and be able to truly help someone especially when in times of need.

I feel that my communication skill needs to further improve as I tend not to 100% listen to one’s thoughts. This usually causes misinterpretations and also makes others feel that I’m not very interested about their thoughts. Therefore, I need to train myself to be able to focus more and concentrate better. I’m sure this will be of use to me in the future.
