so we took a bus which is a new experience for me. not that I've never took one before, but it is my FIRST time getting on a bus that totally does not require me to hold on to a handle to balance myself!! haha! what I'm trying to picture in your mind is that the bus is SO CROWDED that all the other bodies around you helps to support you! haha! it was quite fun and funny throughout the ride. jacob and my idea on having a shave armpit business on the bus. LOL.
so we reached and walked around. looking for some stuffs which was the objectives for the whole trip. we saw this shop that sells curry chicken and decided to go in and give it a try. to our surprise, its an Asian food restaurant! they sell curry chicken, ba chor mee and even chicken rice!! haha! the food was nice and good! the price is WAH! we ordered four main dishes in total and we paid around 25RMB (around 5SGD) each!!! super cheap la!!! hahahaha!

after slacking and chatting, the sun has set and the night lights were on. The night view over there is FANTASTIC! Jacob and I took the chance to practice a little on our night shooting skills. haha! here's some showcase of my own photos.

TADAH! the new Batman sign! haha! we even came up with a song using the Ghost Busters song tune. haha! it was super hilarious!!
that's almost all the things we did for the day. haha! Looking forward to Wudang Mountain tomorrow. it think its gonna be really fun!
REFLECTION OF DAY 26, FRIDAY, 19th SEPTEMBER 2008:Time: 11:18pm
Got to chat with a stall owner today at 苏宁电器 near 大洋百货. She is one of the stall owners selling some electronics and we happen to chat with her while looking for some earpieces. We got to know a lot of things from her. Including her working experiences, how things work over the area she is working and some of her own background.
One of the things that I learnt about is the education system in China. The kids start their education at the age of 6. Similar to Singapore, they will have to attend primary school for 6 years. Followed by secondary school for 3 years. Then something like JC for 3 years before going to University which will last for either 3 or 4 years according to courses. One interesting fact about the education system is that once the students reach University, they will have to go through this NCC like training for the first month of their freshman year. The reason for doing so is because it is a program to bond the freshies together as they come from different schools in different area. As WuHan is the main area for Universities, the students would have come from different other places to study, Thus, a way to bond the students together through NCC like training.
I feel that it is a good way of bonding as everyone learns to help each other at difficult situations such as encouraging each other through the tough training and learning to share resources. Although we heard from some of the china students that they do not really like it, but I think they will miss those days after the one month. As they would have lesser time to spend with each other and rarely meet up due to different time schedule. However, they will be able to enjoy University life better since they have more friends to be with.
