randomly random...
was viewing come Trybe volunteer's profile on Trybe's website when I came across Vege's profile... it was quite refreshing to see what he has written (I wonder how many years ago).. was talking to a close buddy of mine on the phone just now and what I read on Vege's blog sort of impacted (or maybe not the right choice of word.. I cant' think now) me and knowing that things in life are just well, LIKE THAT LO.. haha! here's what he put...
It's okay to be called STUPID by someone...
Just don't prove it...
You're one of a kind
Move away from the need to compare yourself to others. And you will move rapidly toward higher and higher levels of effectiveness and fulfillment.
Many of the things you see as limitations and deficiencies in your own life are not really limitations at all. They're created in your imagination when you compare yourself to others.
Don't waste your time focusing on what others have that you don't have. Instead, put your time and energy into making the most of the unique and valuable knowledge, skills and resources that you do have available to you.
Don't allow your energy to be drained away by worrying about what others will think. Simply be your authentic best, and keep in mind that what anyone else thinks about you is not your concern.
It's great when you can learn from others, find joy in being with others, and cooperate with others to achieve mutually beneficial results. Just don't allow your life to become bogged down by constantly comparing its details with the lives of those around you.
You are one of a kind. The more completely you celebrate and fulfill that reality, the more satisfying and rewarding life will be. How true.. there are times where you think you are not good just because of one simple thing you did,
COMPARING. Many of times we compare ourselves with others so to find where we stand in certain area of our skills, etc.. but over-dose of comparison do make us feel inferior to a certain extend which is not healthy.. well.. what one of my lecturer shared in class was:
"No one can make you feel inferior without your consent."if you keep comparing (I mean over-dosage of comparison) yourself with others, you are just giving yourself the consent to be inferior than the rest! so why not start looking at what you are good at and make use of it! improve what you are not really good at yet at the same time, MAKE FULL USE OF YOUR POTENTIAL AND STRENGTH! after all, we are all made differently and
SPECIAL! Tell yourself you are different and there's nothing wrong with it! Start from today, get out from comparison and start being in action with your gifts!!
I'll like to end of with another statement which was shared by my lecturer:
"You are the artist of your life. It's up to you to decide whether your canvas in a shinning reflection of who you are - or an ordinary painting that would get hung up in some cheap hotel"Remember, we choose our paths even though it is shown to us! =)
