new updates...
TVC has been over for two weeks and I still MISS it like nobody's business!! Not going for meeting after service on Sunday just feels a little weird since this has been going on for the past 4 months or so.. Although it is already a past, the camp still feels very fresh...
TVC is THE camp that I had to learn and take up multiple roles.. people may say that "Aiya! you do so many camps before, this one is also considered a piece of cake right..".. however, I beg to differ... this is the FIRST camp that I have to do SSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many things before and during the camp! like lias-ing with the PGP people, helping/guiding logistic team (as Daniel was first time doing it), coming up with games, executing games, room allocations (ok, I admit this one is QUITE A SCREW UP) and many other mini stuffs... usual camps, I would just be concentrating on games as that is the role that has been assigned to me (or should I say it has become a default choice for me. haha!). well, no doubt I still like being in the games comm as you can try all sorts of crazy ideas in games and let people try it out! but doing THIS MUCH is really my first time.. Well, the theme: Step Up to the Next Level, indeed is a challenge for me..
People wonder.. why go for so many camps and now even trying to organise one for Trybe? well, the answer for this is very simple. I just want to thank Trybe for all the opportunities that they have given to me and I want to make sure of such opportunities to do something that I'm really interested in. Right now, I can be quite positively sure that I'm still not 100% sure of what I REALLY wanna do when I grow up. But what I know is that organising events/camps has become something that I love doing even though it may be time consuming and I may need to make some sacrifices. However, I'm still willing to do so as I feel that this is what I want to do right now.
Thank Trybe once again for the chance to organise quite a huge event and it was by grace that everything turned out pretty fine. =) I love my TVC comm and I can see that everyone grew from there. From people taking up further challenge (Daniel, I'm SO looking FORWARD to ur event! hahaha! =P) to people challenging themselves to other things outside of Trybe. It is really encouraging to see new volunteers applying what they have learnt from the camp into their daily lives and also for "old birds" to appreciate what has been done for them. I'm sure if opportunities allow, I will definitely come back for MORE of such things! because, IT IS FUN LA! what else do you expect??!! haha!
Lastly,
LOOK OUT FOR MORE AT 2009!!!! HAHAHA!
